My experience with a mac. and what I’d like to share.

July 3rd, 2009 by keyboardplayer

Hi there klango usersers, This is Brandon back with you again. I’d like to share with you my experiences with a mac, and I want to tell you what I loike the most about it. From my experience with it, I’d say the mac is the best thing I have used so far. one fo the things I like about it is the fact that it’s accessible. right out of the box, without sited help, you can do lots and lots of things. one of the best things I like about the situation is that in voiceover which is the screen reader on the mac, you can read the web quite wel. I listento all of my posts with the mac, because the way it reads is superior to the way windows would read it. you could take a windows machine out on the web, and have it read the page or something but you have to go down a line at a time, and hope like heck it works. but with voice over, and a web browser called safari, it will read it quite well. one of the cool things about it is that when you look at it and how it is set to work, it does a very good job at how it works. so that’s a cool thing. I’ll add more to this post a bit later. Let me add the fact that we are going to be experiencing a new change for me. I plan to set up the external to either run an older mac o s tiger, or run snow leopard. one fo the 2, but ether way I’d like to get the experience for how tiger works as well. that would be cool if you get my drift. and just think about it, it is a cool thing. I want to share something else with you. you know how all of the people have said that macs were never accessible, they were flat wrong. Starting with early o s’s of mac, they used alva access’s outspoken which was in early operating systems. in o s x 10 at first they used something called the spoken user interphase, which thought it didn’t do much it did have enough to be used on a day to day basis if you had a mac. but in o s 10.4, tiger, they used the screen reader voice over, which is the one being used now. let me tell you if you do not think that this is accessible, then you haven’t seen accessibility at all, until you take a good look at this. this has the ability to edit text, browse the web, read email, and use voip applications like skype, ventrilo, and team speak. so that’s the update as I have it. more will be added to this blog. so read on further. this page may be often updated with more information. let me run down the names of the voices on a mac, they go in this order, agness, albert, alex, bahh, bad news, boying, bruce, bells, chellos, daranged, fred, good newws, histerical, Junior, Kathy, Pipe organ, Princess, Ralph, Trinoids, vicky, victoria, and zarvox, and whisper. there you go. anything else? well I didn’t think so. just kidding. now! if you do not like this? what can I say except, too bad! cause I ain’t gunna hear anything bad! just kidding. ya all will seemore to this blog later.

Newinformation

July 1st, 2009 by keyboardplayer

Hello there everyone. This is Brandon with another report as of July first, 2009. Well if you are getting ready for the forth of July, note the weather in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa is not suposed to be very very good, thanks to a gulf front that is expected to move south. Thunderstorms associated with this system could move south and east over the same area repeatedly, causing runnoff and the potential for a heavy rainstorm. Otherwise, if you are traveling, which most are here in the united states to see the various firework shws that have been in place for years, are really hoping things remain peaceful. well a new change has been put into effect for those who are conserned about my stream. I am on a mac, but the blog is bing updated in windows. I’d like your feedback on the article that the braille monitor put out. I am not very impressed with the b m as they really give inacuracies about the system, as they have not looked at it in depth and do not realize how accessible that is. for example they have several keys that help you navigate the screen and it is a good thing. THis is a kool thing I’d say to say the least. if you are a fan of that type of thing, let me know what you thing. this mac that I have is a cool mac minni wth a duel core processer with 1.83 ghz, and a gig of ram, with all of the elements of what you’d call usable. I like it. and there is no way I’m using another windows desktop. not considdering that apple’s o s install is with speech. anyway, take care all, and remember that every day is a good day. this is has been Brandon with the microblog. read on about klango, at, http://www.klango.net. for weather information, visit http://braille.wunderground.com/. also for those who are a fan of the game ace fire I’ve got ome comments for the developers of ace fire. I wonder the comment that I have heard and I am sure its the same comment you all have gotten is that the laugh in the game does not sound very evil. for a game of that magnitude, You’d think the laugh would have a eveil effect. the other side of that too I guess if you really think about it, is that if you are a developer, you have limited resources that you can do and only they can be updated to the best of your ability. I gues you could also say that the laugh is the simbolism that they enjoy doing what they do. so for that I say though all the game developers out there do deserve a load and I do mean, a load of credit for doing what they do best. the biggest thanks I want to give is to all of them for making those games to work. let me also add that it’d be good if they could come out with a version of klango player for the mac. that would be cool. or at least be able to edit the blogs with it. from what I gahter, the newer klango will be using word press. word press is very interesting. one of the biggest thing is that all of us here that use it should enjoy the new one based on what I have been hearing. about it it that is.but ayway, you all take care. and have a good one. Once again, this is a report from brandon.
